to be exact. That’s how old my little boy is.. in my tummy :) Time really flies so fast. In a few weeks, I’ll be officially a mom. Wow! Thinking about all the responsibilities that comes with the word “MOM” is really overwhelming. I really don’t know how and where to start.

WEIGHT GAIN

My check ups with the OB are now every two weeks. As of my check up yesterday, I was told to watch what I eat since I gained two pounds more than what I was supposed to. I was really overeating the past few days and with the weather getting hotter, I crave for Starbucks Mocha Frap (its decaf ok, so don’t worry) for my sweet and cold fix. From now on, no more Starbucks for me… or anything sweet and sinful for that matter. I’m craving pa naman for Razon’s Halo-Halo.. I guess I will have to save that for a special occassion (my birthday perhaps? haha!). I’m going to stock up instead on yoghurt and fresh fuits for my dessert. Its really hard for me to feel full if I don’t have my sweet fix at the end of every meal.

FAINTING SPELL

I almost fainted yesterday while I was standing up talking with my boss. It was such a scary experience for me! My vision was slowly becoming dark, my hands started to get numb and I was starting to have cold sweat. I was trying to reach for the chair beside me and I think my boss didn’t notice that I was feeling dizzy as he was still yakking away. Buti na lang his phone rang so our conversation was cut short and I went back to my cubicle. I immediately called my mom and told her that I wasn’t feeling well. I told her what was happening, she told me that my blood pressure suddenly dropped. True enough when they got my blood pressure, it was 90/60. Good thing I was also scheduled for a check up with my OB and she advised me to refrain from standing up too long. Even sitting down for long periods of time is also not good. She told me that while in the office, I should see to it that I have time to stand up and walk around for a few minutes to let the blood circulate more.

STRETCH MARKS

I finally have them!!! they ruined my perfectly smooth (naks!!) belly. I now have those nasty red marks which make me cringe everytime I see them. They are slowly taking over my entire tummy!! Even after religiously applying Palmer’s lotion, they still managed to find their way up from my puson up to an inch below my belly button. They’re like aliens!! I HATE IT AND THEY ITCH A LOT!!! I wonder if Mustela 9 Intensive Stretch Marks Reliever would do wonders? Or should I invest in Strivectin instead? Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated :)

TRACY! Magpahinga ka hehehehe! Are you planning to work ba all the way till your due date? Naku, be very careful ha. It’s good that you are in touch with how you feel – so at the slightest trace of hilo, or gutom, or sakit, please don’t ignore it and indulge your body and your baby :) Post pics! Hey, I have an invite to Blowup Babies for a free session – if you’re not yet a member, you don’t have to pay for the photo session, just the photos that you will have printed. Go go go , time for your maternity portrait! don’t worry, they photoshop! Ako rin, I used pa 4 different types of stretchmark oil (palmer’s, clarins, indigo baby, and body shop) – but to no avail. I call them my mommy badges hehe! Don’t scratch! when i’m at home, putting an ice pack really helps especially with the heat. take care and see you soon!!! :)

Thanks Nikki!! grabe, natakot talaga ako so now I’m taking extra care and slowing things down. After that, I was waiting for the baby move to make sure he’s ok. I’m planning to work till my due date kasi I easily get bored din pag nasa house lang. When are we having lunch? Our weekends our free na kasi tapos na yung basketball league ni Paolo sa Ateneo.

I’ll try that ice pack for the itch. Nakakainis sila ha! Kala ko effective yung Palmers.. hindi pala :(

tracy, how about this saturday? you and paolo free? we can do trinoma or something.

hindi rin talaga mag work yung stretchmark creams if your skin is really prone to it. it can help lang pero like me, nagka PUPPP pa ako so talagang goodbye to my stretchmark free tummy!

hey, are you interested in taking childbirth preparation classes? super duper helpful siya, i can refer you to rome kanapi – we took classes with her every sunday for 6 weeks in ateneo. it’s so much fun! :)

Hi Nikki, we can’t this sat eh. Wedding ng cousin ko. We’re free next weekend though.

My mom kasi didn’t had a single stretchmark with all her 5 pregnancies! She really has great skin. Wala din sya hair sa legs and underarms! She’s so lucky.. I was thinking baka mag mana ako sa kanya but hindi talaga.. My sisters din had stretchmarks when they got pregnant.

I’ll try to convince Pao about that birthing class. Let’s talk about it when we see each other :)

hi tracy! naku, i hope this is the last dizzy spell you’ll ever have. it must’ve been scary! ingat ka & be sure na may kasama ka lagi para in case it happens again, someone can help you.
i’ve been using Mustela 9 since my 11th week & i apply religiously ‘cos takot din ako sa stretchmarks. i can’t tell yet kung ok talaga yung product ‘cos i’m 9 weeks behind you. depende talaga yata sa elasticity ng skin yun eh.
all the best, Tracy & hope all else remains great for you & the baby!

    • tracypamela Says:

Hey Gracie! it was really scary! good thing walang effect sa baby yung nangyari. So now, I’m just stuck in the office during lunch time. Mainit na din kasi pag lumabas and I might have that dizzy spell again.

I should’ve learned about Mustela 9 earlier. Baka it minimized my stretchmarks. Sobrang disappointed ako with Palmer’s. I hope you won’t get stretchmarks coz they’re really ugly and itchy!!

Next sat is the 28th right? Let me check with Dan – I think we are attending a baby sign language workshop in Greenbelt in the afternoon…..

Oo, i will convince you and Pao to take that class hahaha! so worth it even if you ask Dan. In fact, my class is having a reunion next month and we are all bringing our babies – so much fun!

I’ll also bring some books I’ll lend you when we see each other hehehe, excited na ko for you!

Hi Nikki, how about the weekend after. I think we’re still free. We can also do Friday dinner. Let me know :)

  6. Eper Says:

Hi Tracy! I feel for you regarding the stretch marks. I’m scared na tuloy. I’m on my 24th week and I’ve been using Palmer’s since I found out I was pregnant. So far, so good. But you never know, right? My mom also doesn’t have any stretch marks. I just hope and pray I’m as lucky as her.

    Stay healthy!

    • tracypamela Says:

Hi Eper, sobrang devastating talaga when I found out about my stretchmarks. I wish I started early in taking care of my skin. Baka that would’ve helped. I was thinking din kasi na baka nag-mana ako sa mom ko who never had one with all 5 of her pregnancies. I really hope all your tyaga in moisturizing will pay off :)

  7. nikki Says:

I’m free pala this friday, the 27th, i’m on leave. dan is on off on that day – we can do dinner if you want :) if not, the weekend after that na, or yung after holy week na para sure hehehe :)

    • tracypamela Says:

Yey! let’s meet na on Friday. Do you have any resto na in my mind? How about Flapjacks at UP Techno Hub? 6:30PM? Let me know :)
