I’m still in denial that I am already out of the 20s age bracket… still feel as though I’m just 25. Haha!
My friend told me “you should do something momentous since you’re now 30″. I replied, pointing to my big, stretch mark-infested tummy “Isn’t this more momentous?!” We both laughed. In just a few weeks, I will pop this little rascal out. I’m excited to finally meet this little boy who’s been causing all the aches and pains I’ve been feeling lately. Not to mention the start of my sleepless nights cause I can’t find the most comfy position while lying down without being feeling suffocated. I feel so nervous at the same time about the whole process of labor and giving birth. No matter how many stories and advices I get about it, I still feel so scared as this is the first time I will be confined in a hospital (actually got operated for appendicitis.. but I was just 2 years old then!) and will be in so much pain (at least from what my friends have shared). So now, I’m just holding on to what I have read and heard from everybody “It’ll be all worth it when you see and hold your baby”.
Anyway, moving on to my birthday celebration…
Friday, April 17: I was on birthday leave. It was also the perfect timing since I had a scheduled check up with my OB. Baby is doing very good. Just the right size and weight (at 2 kilos) for the age he is in. My weight gain was back on track. Just gained 2 pounds as of my last check up 2 weeks ago. I’m so glad I’m still within the ideal weight gain. After that, I met up with my family at the new Eastwood Mall to have dinner at Thousand Cranes Shabu Shabu. The food was great but the service really sucks. I don’t wanna go into details but the service people there have a lot of training and learning to do from their counterparts in Greenbelt and Trinoma branch.
Saturday, April 18 (my actual birthday): My friend Karen, who passed the recent bar exams, and I were supposed to have a joint celebration but since the schedule was in conflict with her husband’s, we decided to schedule it some other time. Nevertheless, my friends wanted to have dinner since we have so much catching up to do. We decided to eat at The Stock Market at Bonifacio High Street. Food was great but it wasn’t something I would crave for. After dinner, we just had coffee, cold fraps actually since the weather that day was really hot.
